Built From The Ground Up

Lou M’s 1969 Camaro

The 1969 Camaro was purchased in Rhode Island in 2017 by Lou.

It was a broke down race car when he purchased it. The 1969 Camaro was a complete body-off restoration, every nut/bolt replaced.

Engine:

Merlin 565 Block

Frankenstein Heads

The engine produced on Dyno 751 HP/ 745 lb Torq

Transmission: Tremik TKO 5 speed

Rear: 12 Bolt Moser Custom built rear

Suspension:

UMI Complete front/rear Coil-overs w/ Viking Shocks

The rear suspension has a Watts Link setup

This was the first car with this UMI setup and was UMIs SEMA car in 2018.

Paint: Was done by “Wild Bill Lewis” of Lansdale, PA using House of Color custom blend of Zenith Gold

Interior: Stock Camaro Deluxe Interior

Wheels: Are first run of American Racing Rally Wheels

At first glance, this car looks like an average 1969 Camaro.

It’s fun to watch people look the car over thoroughly and find out that this is no average Camaro by any means. Car is run every year at Cecil County Drag Ways Super Stock event.

The 1969 Canaro ran a 10:68 at 156mph last year, then he was asked to leave it at the pit due to having no roll bar installed.

"Ground Up is my first choice for parts. Your somewhat local to my shop Shipping is quick Pricing is fair."
