Ron M’s 1968 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Ron M’s 1968 Chevelle

Ron M purchased his first car, this 1968 Chevelle, brand new at Warren Biggs Chevrolet in Hollywood, CA. However, it wasn’t what he initially set out to buy, as he had his sights set on a ’68 Camaro.

”In 1968 I went shopping for a new Camaro, but when I saw this car, I knew I had found what I wanted.”

Ron

Ron held onto his ’68 Chevelle for all these years, unlike many of his peers who were forced to sell their first muscle cars for various reasons. His first foray into restoration was in the late 1980s, putting the car back to original condition. It remained this way as his driver for the next 20+ years.

In 2015, Ron began a 3 year frame off restoration of the Chevelle, but this time around he opted to pull the original engine and transmission combo and swap to a 525hp LS3 paired with a 4L70E overdrive transmission.

”I have been driving this car for 51 years and I’ll keep driving it for as long as I can still drive.”

Ron
