  1. The 1987 Buick Grand National was one of the fastest American cars of the era, with a 0-60 mph time of just 4.8 seconds.
  2. The Grand National also had a unique blacked-out exterior trim and a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine that produced 245 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque.
  3. The 1987 Buick GNX (Grand National Experimental) was an even more powerful version of the Grand National, with 276 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.
  4. The 1987 Buick Regal was the last year for the rear-wheel-drive Regal until it was brought back in 1997.
  5. The 1987 Buick Century was the first model year for the new W-body platform, which it shared with the Chevrolet Celebrity, Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, and Pontiac 6000.
