Danny B’s 1971 Nova

Built From The Ground Up

Danny B’s 1971 Nova

Danny found this 1971 Nova on a car lot in 2012 and knew he had to have it.

The restoration was finally completed in 2019 using many parts from Ground Up SS396.com.

“We restored it from the ground up with Ground Up parts. Thanks to Theresa at Ground Up.”

Danny B

He chose to make this Nova into an SS396/375 clone car with his best friend Alan performing a lot of the restoration work. It has an upgraded 5-speed manual transmission for effortless highway cruising, but otherwise it appears as a factory-correct example of a 1971 Nova.

It was important to Danny as it brings back memories of his sister. The pair had looked at and purchased the car together, but she passed away a short 2 years after Danny bought the Nova. He and Alan consider it family.

Their hard work paid off, having won their class at the 2020 World of Wheels show in Chatanooga, TN. It has also won a Best Engine award at another show. He plans to continue showing it at local events.

"Working with Theresa! She is such a big help when it comes to purchasing parts or returning an item."

-Danny B
