Rich G’s 1970 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Rich G’s 1970 Chevelle

This yellow 1970 Chevelle has been with Rich for a long while. It was originally his cousin’s car, but it was sold to a friend who eventually sold it back to Rich in 1995. He’s been slowly but surely adding his personal touches to the Chevelle in the years since.

Rich considers his Chevelle a restomod, he’s added numerous upgrades and personal touches during his ownership. Some of the major improvements include a CPP Hydra Stop brake system, new drop spindles, aluminum radiator, electric fans, and a cowl induction hood.

This 1970 Chevelle is powered by a truck sourced 396 big block paired with a Weiand stealth intake and Edelbrock carburetor. Factory exhaust manifolds lead up to a 3 inch Flowmaster stainless exhaust system with Pypes Violator mufflers. A trusty TH350 transmission is responsible for getting the Chevelle going, though Rich may replace it with a 200R4 in the future.

“I bought the car ‘cause I’ve always wanted one since I was a child. I wanted a yellow one, and since it was yellow, I bought it. I’ve enjoyed tinkering on it over the years. Improving certain aspects. Much more to go.”

Rich G

While Rich has tinkered with much of this 1970 Chevelle, there are still aspects that require some fine tuning. The suspension could use some further upgrading to plant the Chevelle to the road, and the custom interior could use some refreshing as well.

Needless to say, Rich has turned this 1970 Chevelle into one sweet street cruiser!
