Nige C’s 1968 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Nige C’s 1968 Chevelle

Nige C imported this 1968 Chevelle to the UK from Iowa in 2011, purchased sight unseen from a dealership online.

Thankfully it all paid off and the Tripoli Turquoise Chevelle was in great shape overall, but the interior could use a mild refresh. This was a true SS396 M20 4-speed car with 4.10 gearing, with an older restoration having been performed a number of years ago.

The engine had been swapped in favor of a 1974 454 big block that was apparently built, according to the dealer and the previous owner. Otherwise the 1968 Chevelle was more or less original. Nige had his work cut out for him in regard to the interior though. He needed to replace everything from the headliner to the carpet, so it was quite a substantial overhaul.

He has upgraded the A-arms to UMI Performance, as well as upgraded the shock absorbers and the brakes to a Wilwood disc kit.

"Fast responce to questions and knowledgable people."

-Nige
