Mike L’s 1967 Chevelle SS396

Built From The Ground Up

Mike L’s 1967 Chevelle SS396

Mike L. had very strict criteria for this 1967 Chevelle SS396. He required the car to be a Fremont built example and to already have the body and paintwork completed. While he was fine doing mechanical work to his next car, he did not want to get wrapped up in yet another total restoration.

His search culminated with this ’67 Chevelle found in Grass Valley, CA in 2016.

“My favorite muscle car of all time. I had one like it in the seventies when I was in high school.”

Mike L

The theme of Mike’s build is “Day Two”, and this Chevelle SS396 came with a 396 big block with plenty of period-correct Days Two induction and exhaust parts equipped. It currently puts power through the factory Muncie M21 4-speed, but Mike is considering going to a modern transmission with overdrive in the future.
