Michael T found this once mild 1969 Nova on eBay in 2012, and as luck would have it the car turned out to be local to him.
He drove the Nova as it were delivered for a summer, then tore into it to turn it into a street/strip machine. It was originally a 307 2 barrel carb powerplant with a TH350 trans and a 10 bolt rear. That wasn’t good enough for what Michael wanted to do with it.
A Chevrolet Performance ZZ427 crate engine was sourced along with an upgraded cam and carburetor. Then the TH350 was replaced with a TH400 with a manual valve body. Once the transformation had been completed, then Mike was truly able to drive and enjoy this Nova.
