Jordan B’s 1968 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Jordan B’s 1968 Chevelle

Jordan had just gotten back from a military deployment overseas and was looking for a change, that’s how this 1968 Chevelle came into his life. His girlfriend at the time lived two hours away, so he was looking to trade in his truck for something a little better on gas.

He test drove and was between a Volkswagen Jetta and Ford Focus when they broke up. That day he went to a dealership that specialized in one-off cars. That’s where he found his 1968 Chevelle and the rest is history.

Trucks and muscle cars were the way for him, and he hasn’t looked back since. Now, his four-year-old loves going out ‘for a rip’ in the 1968 Chevelle. He sits in the back and plays with the half window. Even though he’s only 4 he knows what a manual crank window is and knows what an armrest and ashtray look like, probably better than most teenagers. The best is when an old truck or car drives by and he tells him “that truck smells like your Chevelle”. Hopefully, he’ll be able to pass the beast down to him when he’s ready to drive.

The engine is bored over 427 out of a corvette. Turbo 400 3 speed which keeps him at 60km/hr before he can even shift into second.

The 1968 Chevelle has a very unique color. He’s never seen anything like it anywhere. So that makes it special.

He has to get the dash cluster working properly. There are issues with the gas gauge and the Speedo right now, which make it a bit stressful to drive. Once he get those fixed the car will be finished, well is a car really ever finished??

"It was absolutely great. I was able to get some new bumpers after the chrome from the original came off above the tail pipe. Pipes have since been re-routed behind the rear wheels. Some other top-up parts to replace small parts "
