Herb H’s 1971 Nova

Built From The Ground Up

Herb H’s 1971 Nova

Herb H bought his 1971 Nova in 2017 already partially done, as far as the body was concerned. According to Herb under the hood and the driveline were a bit under the weather.

He had a very similar Nova in his high school days, so he wanted to make a better version of his old car now that he had the means to do so. He took the opportunity to install numerous upgrades to the 4 bolt main 350 small block under the hood, now bored .030 over.

He couldn’t just leave the rest of the running gear stock either, so a shift kit was added to the TH350 transmission. The 8.5 inch 10 bolt rear also received 3.73 gears.

“Favorite part is driving the 1971 Nova and attending shows to let others enjoy the car.”

Herb H

Front end suspension work will likely be the next step in Herb’s restoration process.
