David H.’s 1969 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

David H.’s 1969 Chevelle

David H. bought his 1969 Chevelle from a private party for sale on the internet.

The owner of the Chevelle didn’t tell his wife that he was selling it and when David went to go buy the car, the seller said he changed his mind because of his wife. David continued to check back with the Chevelle owner month after month and raised his offer and one day the owner of the Chevelle said “come over and grab the car”.

David bought the classic car and loves it dearly. The 1969 Chevelle, a true SS 396 with documentation, that he later obtained learning that his 1969 Chevelle was a company service vehicle for the GM plant, Harold Chevrolet.

The engine is a stock L-34 factory correct to year and model with Z25 option package, stock Turbo 400 transmission, 12 bolt rear-end numbers matching 1969. The Chevelle has only 54,000 original miles. Factory ordered Garnet Red code 52 inside and out.

Special and unique features of the Chevelle include:

  • Garnet Red exterior
  • Sport package Z/25, ZL/3 conversion from the Malibu
  • Paint coded 52
  • Trim 787
  • Bench Seat Garnet Red interior coded 52

Future plans for the Chevelle are to keep it stock, some minor repairs, and fix flaws to the body. It’s a Keeper Baby!
