For 1978, the base Nova model changed very little. While the base car merely had a Chevy Bowtie emblem added to the leading edge of the hood, the Rally Novas got a new front end layout with a diamond-patterned grille, black headlight bezels and horizontal parking lights and new color-keyed Rally wheels and triple body stripes.
