Charlie’s 1965 Chevelle was originally born in the Kansas City factory and delivered to Portland, Oregon, as an SS 327 with a bench seat and powerglide transmission. The car was driven around Portland and sold after the owner passed.
It was then taken to Mesa, Arizona, where it had a frame-off restoration and was converted to a Z16 tribute car with a 396/375 engine and a Muncie 4 Speed. It is finished in Crocus Yellow with a black vinyl top.
Charlie purchased the Chevelle at auction in January 2022. He made a few changes after taking ownership. Including a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, a Holley 750 carburetor, and new tires and wheels (Charlie still has the original wheels and tires). The car is an exact match to a ’65 Chevelle Z16 after its transformation.
Great looking ride, Charlie, enjoy it!
