Ron T’s 1970 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Ron T’s 1970 Chevelle

Ron T bought this 1970 Chevelle back in 1989 to drag and street race, well before shows like Street Outlaws.

He would go on to sell it for a boat in 2001 when he and his wife had kids and started their family. Fast forward to 2017, for Ron’s 50th birthday his wife and kids had found his old Chevelle and bought it back as a present.

“Never leaving again…”

Ron T

This 1970 Chevelle would spend much of the 16 year gap in Ron’s ownership at the drag strip and at shows. Although it is red in these pictures, his old color was a black cherry which it is being repainted in.

“Lots of history between racing and shows. Car’s name is Sweet Revenge.”

Ron T

While it still has a 396 big block, Ron plans on getting some more displacement under the hood in the near future. He’s also in the process of a restoration to get it a bit more show worthy for the upcoming seasons.

“(I get) Everything I need within a couple days. Great service. Bought a ton of parts for the restoration here.”
