Veve was 15 years old, working at a restaurant, and a neighbor down the road had this 1968 Chevelle for sale. The neighbor let him buy it on a “layaway” plan. Veve paid him $200 every two weeks while he was still driving the car!
It took Veve 6 weeks to pay it off in the sum of $600. So, this baby has been the first love, first car, and she’s been with me for 46 years! Longer than my marriage of 36 years!!
This 1968 Chevelle is an original 396 with a Muncie 4 speed transmission. It has been rebuilt and restored inside and out with all original parts with some goodies in it. And an updated interior and paint job.
Veve keeps this as his pleasure ride and occasional car shows! The first car show ever entered was the Ribs and Rods Car Show in November 2020, and out of 700 entries placed in the top 75!
