Mark O’s 1967 Chevelle SS396

Built From The Ground Up

Mark O’s 1967 Chevelle SS396

Growing up, Mark O’Dell had both a 1969 and a 1971 Chevelle at various points, so he figured he might as well get a 1967 Chevelle for his next classic car.

He spent two years scouring the internet for a very specific combination of Butternut Yellow with a black vinyl top, culminating in purchasing this example in July 2017.

Not much has been modified on this ’67 Chevelle, other than pairing the 396/375hp big block to a modern 5-speed Tremec transmission, great for highway cruising. Though Mark still has the original Muncie 4-speed in his garage, the Tremec makes the usual Saturday and Sunday cruise nights and car shows more favorable:

“My favorite part about owning this car is going to car shows and cruise nights. The people you get to meet and talk to make it very enjoyable, especially getting to talk about old times. It is a fun hobby to share with my wife and two kids.”

Mark

Mark intends to continue cruising and attending car shows with this Chevelle for the foreseeable future.
