Mariano E’s 1966 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Mariano E’s 1966 Chevelle

Mariano was in the process of building a ’54 Chevy pickup that according to his (now ex) wife was taking too long. She wanted him to buy something already done and ready to go. So he sold the project and started looking…

Then one day while he was looking online he found this 1966 Chevelle SS convertible tribute. He went to look at it, and liked what he saw. So Mariano shook the former owner Allen’s (now they’re friends) hand and he picked it up 3 days later.

It has a rebuilt 396 big block with a cam, 4 speed Muncie, 12 bolt rear end. Plus Sanderson headers, Flowmasters, full UMI tubular suspension (A arms upper and lower, trailing arms, sway bars, adjustable rear, etc). The car also has 20″ Weld wheels, disc brakes up front, a dual master cylinder, Ron Davis radiator, and a new carpet kit from SS396.com. It also has some modern touches like LED tail lights and LED front turn signals, a front spoiler, and upgraded audio with, JL Audio, Hertz, and Stinger audio products.

Mariano just plans on enjoying and driving it for now. It has all he needs. He would however love a Tremec TKX 5 speed transmission!

"It was great, and super easy. Love the catalog and great customer service. "

-Mariano E
