Greg H’s 1970 Chevelle SS396

Built From The Ground Up

Greg H’s 1970 Chevelle SS396

Greg picked this 1970 Chevelle up sight unseen shipped from an auto auction. Upon initial inspection, it was revealed to be a legitimate, numbers matching Chevelle SS396 with the build sheet tucked away in the glove box.

This Chevelle has a few customizations such as ram jet fuel injection and a Vintage Air AC system. The previous owner’s goals were to make the Chevelle more enjoyable as a driver.

The original green paint was stripped and repainted in a candy apple red to make the exterior pop in the sun. Greg plans to upgrade the suspension in the future to improve the handling characteristics.

“With just a few parts and adjustments, this turned into a reliable cruiser that can go anywhere and gets compliments at every stop.”

– Greg
