Don E’s 1966 Chevelle 300

Built From The Ground Up

Don E’s 1966 Chevelle 300

Don bought this 1966 Chevelle in May 2020 after finding it on the internet.

It is an original AZ car and pretty rare being a 300 with Factory AC. The 6 cylinder and Powerglide transmission were switched out for a 427 BBC and a Muncie 4 speed trans. The 10 bolt rear end was changed to a 12 bolt positraction unit with a 3.55 ring and pinion.

The interior, body, and paint have been completely redone. The car is a ’69 Nova Garnet Red. The 427 BBC was planned and built by Foxwell Motorsports with the machine work performed by Performance Automotive and machine in Greeneville, TN. The factory AC was rebuilt or replaced with a 134A conversion by Auto Air. The car has a knee knocker tach and a set of Stewart Warner gauges.

Dons favorite part is that the car is a rare 300 with factory AC. He plans to
finish off the suspension and rear disc brakes.

"Selection and ease of shopping along with price of course."
