One day Casey, while strolling around, he stumbled upon a hidden gem tucked away in the backyard of a homeowner. A 1969 Chevelle His wife was desperate to get rid of it. It was an all-original car with only 40,000 miles on the odometer, and he knew he had to have it.
Despite the 1969 Chevelle’s excellent condition, the car needed some work, specifically a new roof skin and quarters due to the rust caused by the vinyl top. He bought the car for an incredibly reasonable price of $700, determined to restore it to its former glory.
Thus began his arduous yet rewarding journey of restoring the 1969 Chevelle. It took countless hours of hard work and dedication, but eventually, he completed a full restoration of the car all by himself. The result was a stunning all-steel interior that could run at the drag strip or drive for miles on end. It was truly built to withstand anything I wanted to do in it and has proven to be incredibly reliable.
The engine is a 388 stroker motor with a 750 Holley double pumper that makes good power, and the transmission is a full race TH350. It has double adjustable coil overs with tubular a arms. Has a 9” Moser rear end with 3.73 gears. It has Wilwood discs all around. It runs well and is very reliable and he would trust it to drive anywhere.
He’s always excited to take it out to car shows or cruise nights, where it never fails to impress everyone who lays their eyes on it. And although he’s taken it to several events already, my ultimate dream is to showcase it at the shows in the smokey mountains someday.
All in all, his 1969 Chevelle is more than just a means of transportation – it’s a testament to the unwavering passion and determination he poured into restoring it to its former glory.
