Andrew bought this 1965 Chevelle back in 2014 and “semi” finished it in 2017. Andrew adds
“I say semi-finished because when are we ever really finished with our muscle cars?” -a very true statement!
Andrew chose to restore a 1965 Chevelle because of the cars body lines and sharp looks. He has a love for the square bodies! This Chevelle restoration is mostly factory with some mild modification to help smooth out the ride and give it a bit of a modern touch and feel.
Originally this ’65 Chevelle was a straight 6 / 2 speed car that Andrew had to update. After Andrew’s restoration, the car now features a 312 cid power plant hooked up to a Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 (TH350) transmission.
With this Chevelle being Andrew’s first restoration it will always hold a special place in his mind. Andrew notes:
“If there’s anything that sets this Chevelle apart from the rest it’s due to it being a 1965 model year and most square body Chevelles don’t get enough love”
