1977 Chevelle Malibu Specifications
In 1977, the Malibu and Malibu Classic were the only Chevelle sub-models that remained, keeping the simple Malibu in the entry-level position for the model.
The 400ci engine was dropped completely from the Malibu’s options, making the 350ci V8 the biggest engine available at the time.
Two-door coupes and 4-door sedans maintained 250ci V6 and 305ci V8 base engines while the 5-door Malibu station wagon was only available with the 305ci (new for the wagon that year) or 350ci V8 engines.
