Some backstory:\u00a0The Chevelle was California-built, and sold new in Eugene, Oregon where it resided until 1994. It was purchased in 1994 from the professor’s aunt’s Fianc\u00e9 who needed the money for wedding rings. The professor had his eye on the car for some time as it was a daily driver and he had seen it on previous visits to Oregon. The car has been in South Bend Indiana ever since his purchase back then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2010 the professor decided that the 283\/Power Glide setup that it was born with had to go. He wanted it to have a 327 with a 4-speed. Ultra Tech out of Mishawaka Indiana was commissioned to build a 327 from a 1967 Impala. It was a\u00a0\u00a0275hp 327 with a 350hp cam\u00a0and some ceramic-coated long tube headers.\u00a0A rebuilt M20 4 speed\u00a0was installed, and the 3:08 was replaced with a 3:73 Posi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
