He traded a Z06 for it; his wife hated the Z06 and wanted a convertible.

The 1967 Camaro is a convertible, loaded with options, SS, RS, console, PG, rear antennae, tinted glass, deluxe seat belts, posi 3.77 gears, PS, & PB. The body had been restored and Joe pulled the 295hp/350 and PG and put them in storage. He installed a 475hp 406cid and 2004r for more drivability and recently removed the factory steel 14×6 wheels and dog dish hubcaps in favor of a set of 17” Foose wheels.

Additional add-ons to the 1967 Camaro are a March 1967-dated, Z28 aluminum intake, Z28 deep grove pulleys, Z28 specific thermostat housing, and Z28 specific alternator brackets.

Joe purchased the 1967 Camaro in Ruskin Florida (around 5300 miles away, round trip). He trailered the Z06 to St. Louis and dropped it off.
Then, drove to Ruskin, FL to pick up the Camaro.
While en route the transfer case in the GMC 3/4 pickup sprung a leak in it and Joe had to JB weld a piece of oak wood over the hole. He and his wife drove around 1,000 miles with the oak wood covering the hole.
“Oh, good times!”, he laughed. The 406 cid has World Products 2.02 heads with mild porting. The 406 has forged 10:1 pistons and a mild cam. The transmission is a 2004r. The overdrive makes it more drivable for highway speeds, especially since the car has 3:77 gears.

The 1967 Camaro was manufactured on Tuesday, Dec 21, 1966. It was sold new at Glen Campbell Chevrolet in upstate New York.

Joe has a few mechanics to fix such as the rear window regulators and fuel-sending unit. The electrical system needs attention also. Living in humid Florida was not good for the 57-year-old electrical connections for his 1967 Camaro. Joe is contemplating installing an electronic fuel injection.

Joe has owned his 1967 Camaro for around six years.
