He kept what he wanted and sold the rest to Joseph.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s an original 138 car, but by the time he bought it, it had a blown-out 350, a Saginaw 4 speed, and a ten bolt axle in it. He decided to replace the small block with another small block, which he guess to be about 300hp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to his experience with GM clutch countershafts breaking, he decided to convert the 1966 Chevelle to an automatic as he intended to use the car for transportation. And that&#8217;s what it was until the early 2000s. He doesn&#8217;t drive it as much now, about 1000 miles\/year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, it&#8217;s powered by a mild 350 with a TH700r4 and a twelve bolt 3.42 posi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has front spindles and disc brakes from a 1970 Monte Carlo. It has a GM G-body steering box (about three turns lock to lock). The seats are from a GM G-body. He also has an Ididit steering column installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has a Vintage Air kit ready for installation on the 1966 Chevelle.
