When they arrived the pair fell in love with the car.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>It turns a lot more heads than a new one.<\/p><cite>David S<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A year later David\u2019s grandson returned from Marines boot camp, unfortunately he went on to commit suicide shortly afterwards. David and his wife had the opportunity to purchase this 1970 Camaro and decided to do it in their grandson\u2019s memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a factory Z28\/RS 4-speed Camaro with 52k original miles. The car came with a heavily built small block 350 on a 150 shot of nitrous, but the original motor also came along with the purchase. As this is drivable \u201cout of the box\u201d David plans to keep it running as is, but he can get his restoration fix with a 1971 Camaro RS that he also owns which does need to be built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He does eventually plan on fixing certain things about the Camaro that were a result of being owned by a kid in the \u201870s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since purchasing the Camaro, he has found the original build sheet and discovered that it was ordered by the local Chevrolet dealership in his nearby area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2017 David and his grandson went to his father\u2019s shop where a friend had been storing this 1970 Camaro.
