Richard\u2019s father had owned a 1970 LS6 Texas car when he was growing up. It was blue with white SS stripes and white interior, and he has fond memories of washing his Chevelle as a kid every Sunday. Unfortunately, the opportunity never came for the car to be passed down to him so he needed to find one of his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This 1970 Chevelle example did not come with a drivetrain, nor a build sheet, or really anything that defined its history, which left the door open for Richard to really make it his own. It did have some meat on the bones so to speak, with all of the dash, F41 suspension, and various other bits that were a nice bonus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His plans include a Blueprint 496 stroker which makes 600 horsepower, paired to a Tremec 5 speed transmission and a nice Moser rear end. He also has a serpentine belt conversion ready to go. Eventually he wants to get some 15 inch Cragar wheels with wide tires and a fresh paint job for the icing on the cake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
