Even Hurricane Sandy couldn\u2019t keep him from finishing the build.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He went with a pro-touring approach for his 1971 Nova project rather than period correct restoration. It currently has a 5.3L LS1 with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ss396.com\/category\/nova-holley.html\" class=\"rank-math-link\">Holley<\/a> Brawler, mated to a TCI TH350 transmission. The LS1 breathes through stainless steel headers into a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ss396.com\/category\/nova-pypesperformance.html\" class=\"rank-math-link\">Pypes<\/a> stainless exhaust system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cIt\u2019s built for driving everywhere without issues.\u201d<\/p><cite>German<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accenting the pro-touring theme of the 1971 Nova are a custom front chin spoiler and a modified rear duckbill spoiler from a Camaro. The front suspension are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ss396.com\/category\/nova-qa1.html\" class=\"rank-math-link\">QA1<\/a> coilovers which really dial in the ride quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cBuilt to spend time with my kids, family and friends especially at shows and events. Now it\u2019s like family.\u201d<\/p><cite>German<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">German is thinking about taking things a step further for this Nova in the future. He wants to incorporate a mini tub kit in the rear along with a 4 link system and coilovers.
