{"id":24722,"date":"2020-07-02T15:36:37","date_gmt":"2020-07-02T19:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ss396.com\/cars\/?p=24722"},"modified":"2021-02-23T11:25:18","modified_gmt":"2021-02-23T16:25:18","slug":"perry-ds-1972-camaro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ss396.com\/cars\/perry-ds-1972-camaro\/","title":{"rendered":"Perry D&#8217;s 1972 Camaro"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Perry bought this 1972 Camaro as a rust bucket back in 2005 and to say the least it needed all kinds of body work, something Perry was not too&nbsp;familiar with\u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily for Perry one night&nbsp;while he was at the gym he met a guy wearing a classic car shirt. After talking to him for a little while Perry found out he had met the right guy in a classic car shirt, he restores old cars! So Perry had him take the car into his shop with the intention of just putting on rear quarters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately for Perry, it didn\u2019t stop there, two years, a lot of shop visits, and a new friendship later Perry had his car home, painted, and with a rebuilt 454 under the hood!&nbsp;<em>Now that\u2019s what we\u2019re talking about!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rest of the build was\u00a0left up to Perry and he was determined to get this classic back on the road! And that&#8217;s exactly what he did, Perry says<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cI put it back together, completely re-did the interior back to original, added a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ss396.com\/category\/camaro-flowmaster.html\" class=\"rank-math-link\">Flowmaster<\/a> exhaust system, and installed disc brakes all around.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In total it took Perry 8 years and a new best friend to complete this build and get this classic back out there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fEwf3sv7Mck\" width=\"100%\" height=\"475\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Perry bought this 1972 Camaro as a rust bucket back in 2005 and to say the least it needed all kinds of body work, something Perry was not too&nbsp;familiar with\u2026 Luckily for Perry one night&nbsp;while he was at the gym he met a guy wearing a classic car shirt.
