This is a brand new improved OE style replacement factory air conditioning defrost duct for 1970-72 El Camino. The factory defrost / air conditioning duct sits up against the firewall right behind the engine. The original thin gauge plastic and constant exposure to hot and cold temperatures often resulted in warping and cracking, with many choosing to eliminate the factory ducting once this happened. This new drop in replacement has walls twice as thick as the original GM part number 3963756, which addresses the hot/cold warping issue and ensures that the new ducting will last.
