1971 Nova Specifications
The 1971 Nova featured little to no change in its body style with the exception of removing the fender vents.
The Rally Nova was also introduced in 1971 which advertised full racing stripes that ran the length of the car, Rally Nova sticker, and Rally wheels. The year of 1971 also saw the departure from the 396 V8 engine for the Super Sport optioned Chevy Nova’s. Across the board Chevrolet engines had lowered compression due to having to run unleaded fuel. After 1971 the Nova was considered to be Chevrolet’s ‘entry level’ muscle car.
